Indoor League Update Christmas Break 2017

Undefeated and top of Division two,
Played 8, Won 7, Lost 0, Tied 1, Wicket Difference (Wickets Taken – Wickets Lost) +15, Points 22.
Looking good, although the one team we haven’t played yet are sitting in second place in the league, 1 point behind us and undefeated, so far.
Result of the last league game;
Fortescue 70 for 5 (R Billington 29 – R Ware 3/9 M Elmer 2/28) lost to Mount Edgcumbe 120 for 4 (R Ware 68no A Ware 23 – M Council 2/40) by 50 runs.
If you want to follow the teams fortunes, but cannot get to the games, then the results and league tables are available to view on the Devon Cricket Association web page.
In the Cup we did not fair so well and will take no further part next year.
If you would like to play after Christmas, contact Andrew.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Indoor League update

Approaching the half way point of the season and although we got off to a good start by winning the first two games, we have subsequently slipped down the table, following four defeats.

We also lost our cup game, so our only hope of silverware will now be the Shield competition.

Indoor Final Results

The final game of the indoor season saw us manage a win against Cornwood C, but it was to no avail as we still finished bottom of the first division.

Good fielding and bowling restricted Cornwood C to 62 runs, an easy target you would think, but until Ollie hit three sixes and some more we were struggling.

Cornwood C 62ao, Andy 2 for 20, Ollie 1 for 9, Mt Edgcumbe 63 for 3, Ollie 25no, Andy 20no, a toss up for man of the match, my vote goes to Ollie for the the over that turned the game our way.

The week before we lost to Plympton 122 for 5, when we could only manage 74 for 4, Jon Cummings top scored with 21.

Andy finished third in the batting averages for the league with and average of 74.33
Finishing 10th, 11th and 12th with the most runs scored in the league
Andy 223
Jon Cummings 206
Ollie 205

In the Bowling averages for the league Richard finished 6th and Ben 11th
Richard 22.78
Ben 30.40
Finishing 9th and 10th with the most wickets taken in the league
Rob Lock 9
Richard  9

Here is looking forward to the new outdoor season
